Inspired by the ‘poètes maudits’ (‘cursed poets’) and some of their kindred spirits, Lore Binon and Inge Spinette will wander a sublime path of songs by Claude Debussy, Reynaldo Hahn and George Crumb. These three masters subtly intensify the sombre haze of the poems in their song settings.
For a full hour, Binon and Spinette will maintain a fragile and enigmatic tension that will echo long after they’re finished.

Lore Binon & Inge Spinette
Lore Binon made a phenomenal debut last year in Leuven as Mélisande in Impressions de Pelléas, the adaptation of Debussy’s opera. Even then she displayed an incredible refinement and a rare talent for nuance. Nowhere do these qualities get a better chance to bloom than in the art-song genre.
And she has a dream partner in pianist Inge Spinette. Spinette has already steeped herself in the art song for decades, and proves time and time again that accompanying songs is an art in itself.
