Satellietconcerten
Among the most special artistic features of Festival 20·21 are the annual ‘mosaic concerts’. In these uninterrupted and exciting musical stories lasting 60 to 75 minutes, several different compositions are forged into a larger whole. Sometimes the focus is on similarity, sometimes on contrast, sometimes on both.
The aim is to sweep you along in a ‘total package’ in which the works intensify each other, chafe a bit, reveal common ground and create additional meaning. However you look at it, these concerts stimulate the listening brain.
Satellite concerts NEW dutch only
The ‘satellite concerts’ zoom in on the ‘supporting or guiding’ work in one of the festival concerts or the full day, a few days beforehand. The supporting work will be heard in its full glory, played uncut in one go (or sometimes even two). What’s more, talks (Dutch only) by experts on the music, with passages played live by the musicians will enrich your understanding.
